Our Lady of Grace Christmas Fair – A Shopper’s Delight!

November 27, 2024

Vol. 104 No. 49

The Father Cutrone Gym, at 385 Avenue W, was transformed into a holiday shopping paradise the weekend before Thanksgiving, giving patrons a chance to get a jump on their Christmas shopping.

Vendors filled the gym, selling everything from toys, cosmetics, handbags and candles to Christmas decorations, many of which were homemade.

The annual Christmas Fair, held on Saturday, November 23rd and Sunday, November 24th, is run by Our Lady of Grace Parish in Gravesend. The church has been holding the Christmas Fair for decades, and Mary Ann told the Canarsie Courier that she has been organizing it since 2001.

If you arrived early enough on Saturday morning, visitors had a special treat – breakfast with Santa. But if you missed breakfast, Boy Scout Troop 376, along with other volunteers, provided some home-cooked Italian meals, along with desserts and other treats.

There were also raffles, including a 50/50 cash prize and some beautiful gift baskets.  There was something for everything at Our Lady of Grace’s Christmas Fair, including pictures with Santa Claus!
