The 13th Annual Marine Park Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk kicked off on Saturday, September 23rd, at the Carmine Carro Community Center.
Burt, Geena and Michael Bell started this walk along with the Lustgarten Foundation in memory of Joanne Bell. Participants enjoyed breakfast provided by Marine Park Bagels and Bassett Caterers and a Zumba warm-up by Sydney Carlin of Slope Fitness. Community Board 18 District Manager Sue Ann Partnow delivered a beautiful speech. Walkers who wanted to brave the rain before announcement of raffle prizes donned ponchos and jackets and took a stroll outside.
