Everyone had a howling good time at the Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree, thanks to the folks at Community Board 18: District Manager Sue Ann Partnow, Chairperson Michael Ien, Assistant District Manager Dorothy Paul and Community Associate Gail Fazio who put on a spook-tacular event! The Jamboree was held on Sunday, October 30th, outside the Community Board office at 1097 Bergen Avenue, where there were plenty of fun activities for everyone.
There were rides, games, a rock climbing wall, balloon animals and plenty of Halloween candy – and an NYU Mobile Dental Van in case you ate too much candy! Kids got to hop on board an FDNY fire truck from Engine 323 and show off their creative costumes too. Those who were voted “best costume” received gift cards. There was even live music by local band, A Sound Affair.
The event was sponsored by all of the civic associations within Community Board 18. State Senator Roxanne Persaud and Councilwoman Mercedes Narcisse were also at the event to show their support.
