Friday, October 13th

Period Action Day – 3:30 to 5 p.m.

The Canarsie Library and Senator Persaud are teaming up to

Celebrate Period Action Day.  The library is accepting donations

until October 13th, when Senator Persaud will be donating

menstrual hygiene kits outside the library.  Enjoy a party at the

library with mental health advocates talking to teens about period

stigma, craft activities and ice cream.

Jamaica Bay Friends Group Craft Club

Join the craft group on Thursdays from 5:15 to 7 p.m.

Needlepoint, crochet, knitting, latch hook, etc.

Bring your own materials and supplies.

The Friends Group is looking for dedicated volunteers to support

Branch services for the community, including crafts, STEM
