On September 14, 2022, the NYC Civic Engagement Commission launched The People’s Money – NYC’s first-ever citywide participatory budgeting process. All New Yorkers, age 11 and up, can decide how to spend $5 million of the city’s expense budget on programs, services and events in their borough and/or neighborhood to address community needs.
Residents can cast their ballots until June 25th. You can either vote in-person at the Canarsie Library, 1580 Rockaway Parkway, or online at on.nyc.gov/pb. There is a Brooklyn ballot and a specific ballot for Canarsie.
