Spotted At The Holiday Train Show!

January 17, 2023

While strolling through the Holiday Train Show, held every year at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx, a replica of the Hendrick I. Lott House was spotted among a display of over 190 replicas of New York buildings and landmarks, all created using natural materials.

The shingled exterior of the historic Lott House, one of the oldest Dutch Colonial houses in Brooklyn, was created using pale colored birch bark.

The authentic Lott House still stands today.  Located in Marine Park, at 1940 East 36th Street, the Dutch home has been featured frequently in the Canarsie Courier, especially during holiday events.
