Planting Tulips For The Spring!

November 28, 2022

Principal Jennifer Troman and the students of P.S. 276 had a fun learning experience, planting tulip bulbs in the school’s Heritage Garden on Wednesday, November 23rd. Under the direction of Mr. Sebert Harper, Herbologist, students learned about the parts on a flower, as well as identifying the best environment for flowers to grow. Each student experienced planting their own bulb, which they marked with a popsicle stick to identify which flower is theirs.

Students were honored to be joined by State Senator Roxanne Persaud and Assemblywoman Jaime Williams, who are both large supporters of the Garden Program at P.S. 276, as well as Canarsie Lions Club President, Jean Joseph. We cannot wait until the spring to see our flowers grow!!
