In a spirited event filled with food and lively music, One Brooklyn Health (OBH) brought the community together to focus on diabetes prevention and management at the OBH Health Fair, held at the Pierre Toussaint Health Clinic, at 1110 Eastern Parkway, on Friday, August 16th.

Rescheduled from August 9th due to inclement weather, the event featured informative sessions on the various services offered by OBH, including their Certified CDC Diabetes Self-Management Program and the Diabetes Center with Primary Care.  In addition to various health screenings, it was also a day of fun for the entire family, with entertainment for children, giveaways and more.

Key figures such as Security Officer Dhahraj, Project Manager Raqurel and Administrative Director Leslie Pariag were in attendance, underscoring the collaborative effort to keep the community healthy. The OBH team emphasized the importance of high-quality medical care tailored to the diverse needs of the community, promoting an integrated care system that respects and understands the unique factors shaping individual health needs.

This initiative is a testament to OBH’s ongoing commitment to providing greater access to medical care and supporting the well-being of their communities through proactive and inclusive health programs. With events like these, One Brooklyn Health continues to solidify its role as a cornerstone of community health and wellness.
