On Monday, February 21st, Councilwoman Mercedes Narcisse distributed 300 bags of fresh fruits, vegetables and halal food to residents of the Bayview Houses. The 46th Council District Food Distribution event took place outside the Bayview Houses, at 2085 Rockaway Parkway, in partnership with Brooklyn Emerge and Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso.
Mercedes and her staff, along with Brooklyn Emerge and other volunteers, helped distribute much-needed, grab-and-go food items, along with fresh halal food platters.
