The 7th annual NYPD Motorcycle and Car Show for the families of NYPD Fallen Heroes took place on Saturday, August 19th. Car enthusiasts lined up along Avenue V, between Flatbush Avenue and Kimball Street, in anticipation of a great afternoon of auto excitement.
Over 50 cars were on display with their engine hoods raised, showing off their muscle power while their exteriors, in pristine condition, glistened in the sunlight.
The annual fundraiser is organized by Evans Georgopolis, and all proceeds from registration fees are donated directly to family members of fallen police officers.
Georgopolis told the Canarsie Courier that the event went very well and that they had a nice turnout. “We did good numbers for the NYPD fallen heroes, children and widows’ fund.”
Georgopolis said the show is dedicated to his good friend NYPD Chief Charles Scholl who passed away last June.
