Bull’s Eye Sports Pub combined their annual Christmas Party and Comedy Show with a Toys for Tots toy drive, all in one night, on Friday, December 16th. The event also included a Special Tribute to OTTO & GEORGE, shown on their TV displays.
Bull’s Eye owners, Stephen and Lou Matteo, told the Canarsie Courier that Otto Peterson was a local comic/ventriloquist with a groundbreaking act that was copied by many (some of Andrew Dice Clay‘s nursery rhymes). He and his sidekick (dummy) George Dudley headlined the show every year from 2008 through 2013, but Otto passed away in April 2014. “Otto & George are irreplaceable, but we were very lucky to have the amazing comic and actor Joey Gay take over as headliner a few times, and we hope and try every year to get him back!”
At times, Bull’s Eye Pub featured many greats including Pete Davidson, Aaron Berg, Jason Scoop, Steve Marshall and Sheba Mason. All of the comics, even non-regular, share admiration and love for Otto Peterson.

Johnny “O” (O’Rourke), Joe Conte, Keith Carnevale and Mike Jenkins were the comedians at this year’s event. Boy, did they have the audience cracking up with nonstop laughter!
“Supporting the USMC Toys for Tots program is a major part of our event,” Stephen Matteo said. “As added incentive, we provide an embroidered garment to all who bring gifts – most of the folks are extremely generous and bring multiple gifts. We typically collect 300 to 400 toys every Christmas season! The toy collection boxes were completely filled up, thanks to the generous patrons all donating a toy.”
