Marine Park – Local Schools Display Their Talent At Youth Showcase

America’s Got Talent, watch out! Students from local schools displayed their talent at a Youth Showcase on Wednesday, August 10th, to the delight of spectators and onlookers passing through Marine Park.

Presented by Millennium Development, kids from area schools, including Roy H. Mann, I.S. 278 Marine Park, Shell Bank, Cunningham, Scholars Academy and Channel View, sang and performed dance routines, outside the Carmine Carro Community Center, 3000 Fillmore Avenue.
The event was supported by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development/SONYC, Councilwoman Mercedes Narcisse, Community Board 18 District Manager Sue Ann Partnow and officers from the 63rd Precinct, including Tom Podd and Detective Ronette Benjamin of the Community Affairs Unit.
It was a busy evening at Marine Park, as a concert, part of the Marine Park Summer Concert Series, followed the Youth Showcase.
