Marine Park – Dancing in the Streets With Decades

August 24, 2026

All of the summer concerts in Marine Park are beloved and popular, but Decades fans were filling the lawn a half-hour before the start time on Wednesday, August 19th, ready to rock and roll. This was the ninth concert in a series of Marine Park summer concerts sponsored by Assemblywoman Jaime Williams.

Decades have played and wowed spectators in the park concert series before, and they delighted the crowd again with favorites like “Runaround Sue,” the best of The Beatles and “Dancing in the Moonlight” by Fleetwood Mac.

Angela Iannacone, lead guitarist and singer, had vocal versatility, shifting between The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Tina Turner. Singer and guitarist Rob Hannan was also impressive in vocal range. The band had great musical chemistry, and singer/guitarist Adam Connelly, keyboardist Joni Ernst and drummer Pat Wolf provided a cohesive combination. Barbara Hannan, singer and band member’s wife, sang a crowd favorite, “Dancing in the Streets.”

Raffles were high stakes this week, and Paul Lind, concert attendee, went home with a $220 gift certificate for Nick’s Lobster House.

These amazing concerts are free and open to the public. Williams along with sponsors Marine Park Alliance, Kings Plaza, Nick’s Lobster House, Vincent R. Cervone and Associates, Bical Auto Mall, Tracey Real Estate, Inc. and others in partnership with NYC Parks, Millennium Development and the Marine Park Community Association make these favorite summer concerts possible.

Sound Affair will be back in Marine Park for the final summer concert on Wednesday, August 26th, with a rain date of Thursday, August 27th.

Concerts are held in Marine Park every Wednesday night (with a rain date of Thursday) at 6:30 p.m. on the lawn near the bocce court. Bring your friends, family, a chair, blanket and a camera to record the memories! For more information, call 718-252-2124.
