The 63rd Precinct closed off the entrances to the Kings Plaza parking garage to aid in the rescue of a man who was threatening to leap off the upper level of the east side of the shopping mall’s garage.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5th. Members of the Emergency Service Unit set up airbags on the ground level of the garage in case the troubled man attempted to jump. The ESU team managed to grab the man, pulling him to safety where he was taken by EMS to a local hospital for evaluation.
