Vol. 105 No. 3

On Saturday, December 7th, the Police Athletic League (PAL) kids, staff, administrators and guests experienced 3D Design and 3D Printing technology demonstrated by Michael Victor Danza from the Kingsborough Community College/CUNY STEM Lab at the PAL annual Holiday Party.

When Instructor Danza was asked why he showcased Kingsborough’s 3D Design and 3D Printing technology to the PAL community, he replied, “Well, three reasons.”

“First, I was a ‘PAL kid’ when I was young, and the PAL programs influenced my decision to become a professional artist and scientist.”

“Second, it is imperative that the PAL kids experience this state-of-the-art technology because — in the future — every company and every house will have a 3D printer so they can 3D print ‘prototypes’ for new inventions and ‘functional parts’ for household appliances … it will be DIY (Do It Yourself) time!”

“Third, Kingsborough has a fantastic, affordable Engineering Program which enables the PAL kids to become The Next Generation of American Engineers!”
