Hundreds packed the Sky Wise Lounge, at 2027 Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, on Monday, December 23rd, to witness a new beginning of leadership at the inauguration ceremony of Assemblyman Michael Novakhov (R), who was elected on November 8th to represent District 45, which includes portions of Sheepshead Bay and Manhattan Beach.
Brooklyn Republican Party Chairman Richard Barsamian and Novakhov’s daughter assisted the assemblyman as he placed his right hand on the Torah and recited the oath of office before hundreds in attendance.
State Senator Stephen Chan, Assemblymen Alec Brook-Krasny and Lester Chang were present as well as district leaders, supporters and well-wishers. Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair Rodneyse Bichotte and Assemblywoman Jamie Williams (AD 59) were also present to wish Novakhov a successful future.
