Flatlands – Police Officer Michael Ellis Memorial Ride

May 2, 2023

On Saturday, April 23rd, a Memorial Ride was held for fallen Police Officer Michael Ellis, 34, who tragically passed away in February 2020 from injuries sustained in an off-duty car crash six weeks earlier. The NYPD officer, who served in the 63rd Precinct, was driving in Queens when a 28-year-old male blew through a stop sign, slamming into his car.
The memorial ride started at Flatlands Reformed Church, 3931 Kings Highway, where bikers lined up to pay tribute to the fallen officer. The first stop was the 63rd Precinct where flowers were placed in memory of Officer Ellis. NYPD Highway Patrol escorted the bikers to the Belt Parkway, where they rode to Exit 1 and then made their way back to the Caribe Hall on Utica Avenue for a luncheon and a time of sharing memories of the dedicated officer.
This ride was supported by the Enforcers MC Brooklyn Chapter, LLC.
