East New York – Dispute at Party Leads to Fatal Shooting


Detectives from Patrol Borough Brooklyn North Homicide Squad and the 75th Precinct are searching for the gunman who killed a 37-year-old man on the morning of Saturday, August 12th.

Officers from the 75th Precinct responding to a 911 call found Kelson Fleary, of Crown Heights, suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and groin around 5:20 a.m. outside 82 Louisiana Avenue, between Dewitt Avenue and Linden Blvd., according to police. A dispute reportedly led to the shooting.

Fleary was taken to Brookdale Hospital by EMS where he was pronounced deceased, police said.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
