Who can call 988 for help?

Anyone can call 988. If you are in a mental health, substance use or emotional crisis, including having thoughts of suicide, you can call for help. The line is answered by trained crisis counselors who know how to provide appropriate support.

Services are provided in English and Spanish.  Interpretation services are available in more than 150 languages.
