On Saturday, September 9th, the Enforcers Motorcycle Club, Brooklyn chapter, held their 4th Annual Memorial Ride to Ground Zero.
The Enforcers MC is made up of active and retired law enforcement officers – some from our local 63rd Precinct – and active and retired members of the military, along with proud Americans.
Every year, members ride from as far south as Florida, and even from Toronto, Canada, to pay their respects to all the men and women who tragically lost their lives on 9/11/2001. This year’s participants included members from the Enforcers’ Lee County chapter in Florida, Yadkin Valley, North Carolina, and Boston, Massachusetts. They rode through torrential rain to pay tribute for those we lost on 9/11 – 22 years ago. All members gathered around for a prayer at the “Survivor Tree,” which was discovered in October 2001 amid the rubble of the World Trade Center and was the only surviving tree from that tragic day.
