Don’t just jump – launch!
If you’re looking for a fun and unique indoor park – that’s not too far from Brooklyn – where you and your kids can hop around for hours, head over to Launch Trampoline Park in Howard Beach, Queens.
Located at 163-50 Crossbay Boulevard, Launch Trampoline Park is the ultimate party-hosting venue. Whether you want to book a birthday shindig, graduation celebration or family get-together, there’s no shortage of wacky, unlimited and creative games and activities. They’ve got battle pits, tumble tracks, ninja courses, rock walls, basketball – plus launch and dunk basketball – and extreme dodgeball courts, among other cool sports. Their huge trampolines make every activity even more fun.
The 20,000-square foot Queens park opened in 2018 and is the only location within the tristate area. General Manager George Yacoub said the establishment, which has nearly 30 locations nationwide and is the leading franchise in the family entertainment industry, is looking to expand its presence in other boroughs throughout New York City.
“I was working at another party venue in New Rochelle when the owner of this park whisked me away to join the opening of the Howard Beach park,” Yacoub told the Canarsie Courier. “When we met, we shared a vision and it was a match made in heaven. For me, the best part of this business is watching kids’ faces light up the minute they walk in the door and see wall-to-wall excitement – just unlimited fun at every corner! We’d love to open more facilities in the city – including The Bronx and Brooklyn.”
Yacoub is most proud that this Launch Trampoline is the only location which dedicates exclusive hours to those with special needs.
“We close the entire facility to the public on the last Tuesday of every month from 4 to 8 p.m. for this VIP event,” he touted. “Certified personnel assist at the park – helping people with special needs of all ages have a good time, like it’s their day. We even have special lights on for those with sensory needs. They can also use the airbag launching pads, all the trampolines and our gymnastic equipment under trained supervision.”
If you’ve never been to a glow-in-the-dark party, what are you waiting for?
Every Friday and Saturday night, the staff hosts a psychedelic bash with crazy neon colors and slamming party music with a live DJ. Yacoub and his team are even planning a Throwback 90s Night for late June where the slightly older crowd can bust some old-school moves!
Want to check out some “low-key” activities that don’t involve bouncing off the walls? You’re in luck! You can always take advantage of their arcade games and fun photo booths.
The folks at Launch Trampoline know how hungry their patrons will be after burning all those calories! That’s why Launch Cafe Restaurant serves up fresh and delicious eats every day.
“We make our pizzas in-house with fresh ingredients, and we also have healthy things like wraps, salads and fruit trays. There are vegan options as well, all made on our premises,” the enthusiastic general manager said. “Of course, we have stuff for kids like chicken nuggets and fries and burgers, but we make sure to offer healthier options too.”
