A 31-year-old man was stabbed in his upper right thigh following a verbal dispute with an unknown male.
Officers from the 63rd Precinct responded to a 911 call of a person stabbed in the vicinity of East 53rd Street and Foster Avenue around 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9th. The victim, who collapsed in front of 957 East 54th Street, told police he was involved in an argument with an unknown man. The dispute escalated, and the suspect, described as dark-skinned, approximately 5’10,” weighing 160 lbs., stabbed the victim with a pocket knife, causing a laceration, police said.
The suspect, who was last seen wearing an orange jacket and an orange hat, fled on foot southbound on East 54th Street and Foster Avenue, according to police.
The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital by EMS and is expected to survive.
There are no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
