It was extra busy at Santa’s Workshop, 69th Precinct, North Pole command, on Saturday, December 17th, as Santa, Mrs. Claus and their helpers distributed all sorts of toys to boys and girls on their “Nice List.”
The event was the popular 69th Precinct Community Council Annual Toy Distribution, hosted by President Gardy Brazela, something that neighborhood children wait all year for.
After enjoying hot chocolate and donuts, kids, including toddlers to 16 years old, got to pick out their very own toy from a huge selection of every toy imaginable. Next, they got to sit on Santa’s lap and take a picture as a special keepsake.
Santa and his team got some help from some very special elves, including members of the Community Council, the NYPD, Auxiliary officers and the Explorers. Elected officials, like State Senator Roxanne Persaud and Councilwoman Mercedes Narcisse, along with Community Board 18 District Manager Sue Ann Partnow and CB 18 Chairperson Michael Ien, stopped by to show their support and take pictures with Santa himself!
