On Friday, January 31st, P.S. 115 The Daniel Mucatel School, at 1500 East 92nd Street, hosted a Family Paint Night where students, families and friends had an amazing, creative evening.
Everyone followed along as Julia Magid, the school’s art teacher, guided the students step-by-step to make a painting of a hibernating bear. The bear painting was inspired by the imaginative storytelling in the second grade art classroom where the students invented a story about an art bear. Everyone was encouraged to add their own creative style to the painting, and the results were an amazing variety of colorful masterpieces.
It was a great way to spend time together, get creative and have a blast as a school community!
