The Mill Basin Civic Association (MBCA) and elected officials jointly honored students for their outstanding performance, leadership skills and good character during the MBCA Student Achievement Award 2022 Ceremony held at the Civic’s last meeting before the summer break at Congregation Beit Hillel of Flatlands, 2164 Ralph Avenue, on Tuesday, June 14th.
The five students from area schools who were presented with separate presentations of a Certificate of Achievement from MBCA President Paul Curiale and Awards Coordinator Terri M. Donald; a NYS Senate Certificate of Recognition from State Senator Roxanne Persaud, a NYS Assembly Certificate of Merit from Assemblywoman Jaime Williams and a City Council Citation from Councilwoman Mercedes Narcisse were as follows: Nicolette Ramaglia, St. Bernard’s Catholic Academy; Ayah Abdelgade, P.S. 207; Brylee Andrews, P.S. 236; Mavisha Rahman, P.S. 312; and Sereniti Davis, P.S. 203.
In addition, special guest Anastasia Yaskova, Brooklyn Borough Director of the Community Affairs Unit, Office of the Mayor, was present to offer her congratulations to the honorees.
