On Wednesday, August 16th, Youth Coordination Officers (YCOs) from the 63rd Precinct held a Day of Play at the basketball courts at Marine Park I.S.278, 1925 Stuart Street, from 4 to 7 p.m. Local kids joined in the fun for a friendly game of basketball with the officers. The Police Commissioner’s Day of Play is a citywide initiative that started two summers ago and has been successful in bringing cops and youth together. Its mission is to build connections through positive role models.
