Kids and adults enjoyed an Easter Family Arts & Crafts Day at the Carmine Carro Community Center, 3000 Fillmore Avenue, in Marine Park on Saturday.
Instead of the traditional Easter Egg Hunt festivities, the hosts of this event – Millennium Development, Marine Park Alliance and Councilwoman Mercedes Narcisse, along with Brooklyn Emerge and NYC Parks – had all sorts of activities planned during three separate sessions, 11 a.m., 12 p.m. or 1 pm. Kids created colorful, Easter-themed arts & crafts, and Gyro King gave out free chicken and rice dishes for anyone who worked up an appetite at the fun-filled event.
