Dressed up as monsters, movie characters and superheroes, families came out in droves to Hendrix Creek patio at Shirley Chisholm State Park on Sunday, October 30th to enjoy free some pre-Halloween festivities.
The third annual “Treat on the Trails” event included trick or treating tables, crafts, games, trivia and the park’s popular Bike Library where kids could borrow a set of wheels made to take on the gravel trails and hills. Park officials also raffled off three bikes, among other prizes.
Shirley Chisholm State Park is open daily, 8 a.m. to dusk. With two entrances to the scenic park at Pennsylvania and Fountain Avenues, at the foot of the Belt Parkway, their staff is always hosting fun and free activities/programs for all ages – all year round!
