A 28-year-old man was shot in the Van Dyke Houses last week by an unidentified gunman.
Officers from the 73rd Precinct/PSA2 responded to a 911 call around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11th, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg and groin inside 393 Dumont Avenue, off Mother Gaston Boulevard. Police said the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
There are no arrests, and an investigation is ongoing.
