About 500 residents attended the 63rd Precinct’s Night Out Against Crime held in Marine Park, near the Avenue U parking lot, on Tuesday, August 1st.
Always held on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out promotes unity between police and the community. Now its 40th year, the event has grown in size and attendance. In Marine Park, residents enjoyed food, music, raffles, rides and a Matrix gaming truck. Multiple awards were given out to members of the community for their dedicated service, including a U.S. House of Representatives Proclamation for the 63rd Precinct, accepted by Deputy Inspector Rachael Kosak.
