The New York Children’s Carnival is back! After a two-year hiatus as a result of COVID-19, the Children’s Carnival Parade finally returned to the streets of Brooklyn on Saturday, September 3rd. The Junior Carnival Parade is a smaller version of the West Indian Day Parade, held on Labor Day. All of the young participants assembled on the corner of Kingston Avenue and St. John’s Place and marched for a few blocks before ending at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. The parade route was not as long as Monday’s route, but no one seemed to mind. There were smiling young people in costumes everywhere!
