Country Western Night Had Marine Park Hopping and Jumping

August 17, 2026

People were ‘boot scootin and boogieing’ on the lawn at Country Western Night on July 12 at the eighth concert, a new addition to the series of Marine Park summer concerts sponsored by Assemblywoman Jaime Williams.

The weather was perfect and the park was packed with fans that came ready with their boots, hats, western fashion and several audience members brought instruments like tambourines and maracas.

Scott Yahney, DJ, played a variety of country music including Alan Jackson’s, “Chattahoochee,” “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” by Charlie Daniels, and Beyonce’s, “Texas Hold ‘Em.” He also delighted the crowd by singing a few songs and entertained with his sense of humor and trivia.

These amazing concerts are free and open to the public. Williams along with sponsors Marine Park Alliance, Kings Plaza, Michaels of Brooklyn, Chrysalis Archaeological Consultants and Associates, Marine Park Hardware, Sotheby’s International Realty and others in partnership with NYC Parks, Millennium Development and the Marine Park Community Association make these favorite summer concerts possible.

Decades will be back to rock and roll in Marine Park on Wednesday, August 19th, with a rain date of Thursday, August 20th.

Concerts are held in Marine Park every Wednesday night (with a rain date of Thursday) at 6:30 p.m. on the lawn near the bocce court. Bring your friends, family, a chair, blanket, and a camera to record the memories! For more information, call 718-252-2124.
