Hebrew Educational Society Hosts Successful Summer Camp Open House

March 24, 2026

Vol. 106 No. 13

The auditorium at the Hebrew Educational Society (H.E.S.), 9502 Seaview Avenue, was packed with dozens of parents and their children who attended the Summer Camp Open House and reunion that was held on Sunday, March 22nd.

The H.E.S. team oversaw dozens of returning and prospective campers who participated in arts and crafts and other interesting activities. Some got together and baked chocolate chip cookies. Others strung colored beads and made key chains and bracelets while another group created water fairies from gel squeezed into a mold.

Across the hall, in the gymnasium, children frolicked in and out of a bouncy house and even accepted the challenge of running an obstacle race – all while a DJ provided musical entertainment. The “camper kick-off” allowed them the opportunity to reunite with old friends as well as create new bonds.

In addition to the detailed information provided at the information desks, parents were given a guided tour of the facility and also shown a slideshow that featured all programs and activities in which past campers participated. Many took advantage of the on-site registration and refer-a-friend discounts offered to secure a spot for their children.
